Art through psychoanalysis- Joshua Bienko.
Joshua talked about the empty gesture that a person gives another person, for example, a smiple question such as How are you doing? No one really wants to know the full story of how someone else is actually doing. He also talked about that art is the only thing worth teaching, everything else is a dead end. Math is a dead end, it is not worth teaching. Contemporary art is movement and opposite, it is not the same language as something before it. Dr. Nichols would not buy "The Bienko" or hang it above his sofa.

Karen Hillier, I remember.
Hillier talked about Louise Bourgeois, a French American painter and sculptor. Who you are comes out in your art, for example, she Made sculptures of spiders to resemble her mother, fierce but frail. She resembled a lot of her art to resemble her memories. Hillier expressed her own work that she has been working on. She takes garments and integrate them with projections, she plays with scale and transparency. Lately she has been working with a composer out of Denton for a show that premiers on December 3. The boys and girls clothes are the same other than a blue or pink strip and a ruffle or two. Parents place these distinctions on the kids so they can classify their kids, kids do not understand the distinction.
